If your 4-legged family members can't join you on your trip, please consider Country Roads when looking for a staycation for your pet! Call, leave a text message (810-724-0703) or email (timmari@countryroadskennels.com) and please leave us your name, pet's name, dates needed and your email address and we will reach out to you to confirm dates and answer all questions.
There are a few policy changes I would like to make new clients as well as returning Country Roads family aware of:
** If any reservation made for any of the following holidays: New Year, Spring Break, Easter, Memorial Day, July 4th, Labor Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas needs to be modified, this must be done at least 10 days prior to your pets' stay or you will be charged for the entire reserved period. Mother nature often has other plans, so if an extension is necessary, that can easily be accommodated.
** There will be a $50 fee if we have to take your dog to the Vet for any reason. If it is necessary for us to remain at the Vet's office with your pet for more than 2 hours there will be an additional $25 an hour fee. You can avoid this by having your emergency contact person pick up your pet and transport them to the Vet.
Country Roads Boarding Kennels is the boarding facility that many of you have trusted and relied on to take care of your 4-legged family members when you are away for over 30 years! Our goal is not only to keep your pets safe, loved and happy while they vacation here with us at Country Roads, but to maintain the high standards you have come to expect and appreciate! I am a Michigan native and am so excited to be returning to The Mitten after many years away. My husband, Dino, comes from The Boot, better known as Italy! What we both bring to Country Roads is a love for dogs and cats that have enriched our lives since we were young children. Our new home here in Goodland Township will also be the gigantic playground and canine performance sports area to our 4 furry kids.
We look forward to meeting you and having the opportunity to put your mind at ease, in the knowledge that your furry family members are in good hands here at Country Roads Boarding Kennels!
We look forward to meeting you soon!
Timmari & Dino
PLEASE, PLEASE, remember to read your boarding confirmation emails, they contain important information and possibly updated requirements for your pets' stay.
****Please do not be offended if we ask to see your dog's current vaccination records prior to boarding and if you are in any doubt about your pet's compliance with our needs, please call and ask. If you have made a reservation, received an email confirmation, but your dog does not have the proper immunization, the 48hour cancellation fee will be in effect.
Please ensure your pets meet our vaccinations requirements and those vaccinations have been administered at least 10 days before boarding. Vaccination requirement details are listed below. Veterinary proof of vaccination is absolutely required before we can board any pet. Vaccination proof can be emailed or texted to us ahead of boarding to avoid any issues on arrival. Please call us if you are in any doubt about the requirements.
Our drop-off and pick-up hours are 8:00-11:00 and 3:00-6:00 BY APPOINTMENT ONLY, Wednesday through Monday. We are closed Tuesdays and Saturday afternoons. 30-minute window appointments for drop off and pickup can be made by email, phone call, or text message. We will respond with confirmation once we receive your request.
Drop off and pickup appointments MUST be made at least one day in advance. Payment is due when you pick-up your pet(s), we accept cash, check, or Venmo.
Please bring enough food for your pet's stay but avoid a 30 lbs. bag of food! There is no need to bring feeding bowls (other than special feeders as required by your pet). We have plenty of treats, but if you have chewy toys; stuffed Kongs, bully sticks, stuffed marrow bones etc., we are happy to give those to your pet and refill as necessary.
Your pet should arrive on leash, wearing a buckle or snap-on collar. Please refrain from leaving on martingale collars, training collars, pinch collars, prong collars, electronic collars, as these will be removed while in the kennel. Sometimes it is necessary to guide your dog using their collar, tags are perfectly acceptable.
Many more Frequently Asked Questions, boarding tips are available on our website www.countryroadskennels.com.
If you are boarding with us for the first time, we will need a Boarding Agreement and Pet Details form completed for each pet. If you are a valued returning client, PLEASE fill out the Pet Details AGAIN since Country Roads Kennels has new owners that want to know as much as is necessary to make your pet's stay a safe and happy one! It's all in the details!
We look forward to your pet's visit and encourage you to call with any questions in the meantime.
